Production Manager

Oliver Chrzanowski was born to Polish parents in Bremerhaven and grew up bilingually in Bremen. From 2002 onwards he studied theater, film and media studies with Hans-Thies Lehmann and Heide Schlüpmann as well as West and South Slavic studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. A stay abroad brought him to the Université Paris 10 Nanterre, where he studied Arts du Spectacle. During his studies he completed internships in festival organization at Heidelberg Theatre and Stary Teatr in Kraków as well as at the German Poland Institute in Darmstadt, and worked in project management for the market research company Millward Brown and for Messe Frankfurt.

In 2008 Oliver started working in the artistic management office of Deutsches Theater Berlin while Oliver Reese was director. In 2009 he changed to the artistic office of Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, where he was personal assistant to the artistic production manager Tobias Veit from 2010 onwards. From 2012 to 2020 he was responsible for the touring management at Schaubühne as well as international co-productions. During this time he realized around 100 tours in over 40 countries on 5 continents and traveled through the world’s theatres and festivals with productions by Thomas Ostermeier, Milo Rau, Katie Mitchell, Michael Thalheimer, Falk Richter and Simon McBunrey, among others.

Since July 2021 he is supporting Windcatcher-Productions in the area of production management.
