Following the moving premiere of “Salon Underground” in Heidelberg, the “The Mission / Ferestadeh” tour with Parviz Sayyad continued on to Cologne and Düsseldorf.
These two evenings were also wonderful events, marked by touching conversations and an audience that engaged with Sayyad’s work through many questions and reflections. In Cologne and Düsseldorf, it became clear once again just how relevant this film remains today—as a story about exile, censorship, resistance, and the responsibility of art in times of political oppression.
DW Persian/دویچهohle فارسی captured some impressions from the events in an Instagram-Reel
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the guests, the theaters, and everyone involved who made these special evenings possible.
The journey continues:
On July 10 at 7:30 p.m., The Mission/Ferestadeh will be screened at KinOLaden Oldenburg. The showing is already sold out.
On July 11, the screening will take place at Babylon Berlin. This is the only screening with English subtitles. In addition to Parviz Sayyad and Niloufar Taghizadeh, Jasmin Tabatabai will also be joining the discussion afterward.
And on July 13 at 8:30 p.m., the tour continues at Cinema Frankfurt am Main.
We look forward to the upcoming stops on the journey of “The Mission”
